Snorkeling Bat Islands Tour
(Islas Murcielago)
Snorkeling / Marine Life / Whales / Dolphins / Witch’s Rock / Papagayo Gulf
Snorkeling Bat Islands Tour (Islas Murciélago) is truly an experience like no other. The Islands are part of Santa Rosa National Park, a rocky archipelago that enjoys an extraordinary variety of fauna and marine life.

The Snorkeling Bat Islands Tour takes approximately 60 to 70 minutes from Playas del Coco. Throughout the navigation, you will be able to observe the incredible landscapes of the national park. Dolphins may accompany us along the way, and during the season, humpback whales might also be observed.

Once in the archipelago, you will discover the amazing underwater life and the colorful fish species. You can also see turtles, mantas, and other marine life. Hiking on the island is not allowed to protect the endemic ecosystem.

Later, we will navigate in the direction of Witch’s Rock. You will also observe Playa Naranjo and Nancite, important beaches for turtle nesting.

You will end your trip by visiting some of the beaches of the Papagayo Gulf. You will have the chance to visit some of its white-sand beaches and enjoy some snorkeling time.

For safety and due to the strong winds that run during the months of December to April, Snorkeling Bat Islands Tour runs only during the months of May to November, months during which the navigation and visibility conditions for snorkeling or diving are optimal.
